It is no secret that the transformation in IT is essential for companies to continue to be competitive. The participants of a study by DELL EMC see this as well.
1000 leading IT decision-makers were divided into stages 1-4 from “Legacy”, “Emerging”, “Evolving” to “Transformed” to find out what role the transformation of IT is heading to the digital enterprise and what status which companies have achieved. Companies in levels 1 and 2 (54% in total) are lagging behind in some aspects of IT transformation and are still using very few modern technologies.
On the other hand, 41 percent are assigned to the third level, because they are committed to IT transformation and use modern data center technologies and delivery methods for IT to a moderate degree. Only companies in the Cat 4 “Transformed” (5 percent) are the most advanced in their transformation projects. This means that only 5 percent of companies, in their transformation projects, are advanced by using IT resources, product innovations and their market launch, which automate manual activities and processes. These companies regard IT as a profit center instead of a cost center. Nearly all (96 percent) surpassed their sales targets in the past year, more than twice as often as the least mature companies.
All entrepreneurs are confident that they need to optimize their IT infrastructures in order to capture the opportunities of the digital age. However, most of them have fallen behind a small elite of companies who are ahead in IT transformation therefore more competitive.
Do not do everything yourself
To ensure that the weakness of the majority of companies continues to be successful and competitive in the market, you can benefit from Full IT service providers like DARZ.
With a portfolio of cloud services, managed services and colocation, DARZ provides optimal solutions for companies. Especially the first real hybrid cloud stands out here. DARZ’s hybrid cloud brings advantages that many of the so-called “hybrid” cloud models lack: workloads can be moved very flexibly and in real-time between private cloud, public cloud and colocation. This enables companies to combine services from different hyperscalers, to use them freely according to your requirements, thus optimizing costs and performance.
In addition, DARZ offers an optimal infrastructure with the connections between data centers within Frankfurt and to DARZ in the shortest possible time and can be used completely flexibly with our own glass fiber ring.
