Civil Protection

Civil protection is a federal area of responsibility. The civil protection should protect the population, their flats and places of work as well as the vital and defence-related civil offices, facilities and companies and/or eliminate or mitigate possible consequences. The same goes for the protection of cultural heritage. Official measures complement the self-help of the population. Civil protection measures comprise the self-protection of the population, the shelters, the civil protection of the federal states and the recidence regulation. Further measures ensure provisioning and health as well as the protection of a cultural asset.
