Cold Aisle Containment

The cold aisle containment is used for optimising of the cooling system of a Data Centre. It sees to a strict separation of warm and cold air zones that enables the reduction of the energy supply. The separation is executed by a partly or complete housing of the rack along the cold aisle. For the housing, alu profiles, fixed plates to the roof or the floor as well as a curtain made of plastic are used. The trade association BITKOM released guidelines for the design of an energy-efficient Data Centre that determine the cold aisle being separated from the warm aisle.
