Computer-RoomAir Conditioner-Unit (CRAC-Unit)

The “Computer-RoomAir Conditioner” unit (CRAC-unit) is an air conditioning system for air recirculation e.g. in computer centres, it is used to cool the air in a room. Generally speaking, the fresh air is supplied via the raised-access floor, the return air reduced to the upper part of the room. The devices themselves are water-cooled and endowed with a cooling register and ventilators. Within the return air area, air filters are integrated. The control is handled via a programmable controler.
