Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID)

The RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) is a technology with the help of which two or more hard disks can be used in a specific way. Several RAID-levels are applied that reveal something about the application of RAIDs. RAID 0 doubles the reading and writing speed, RAID 1 provides a high data security as redundant hard disks are available. With RAID 5 and RAID 10, RAID 0 and RAID 1 may be combined.
