DARZ Identified by Experton as a Rising Star in Housing and Hosting Services Sectors
DARZ GmbH has been classified in the quadrant of product challengers in the recent Infrastructure Services Vendor Benchmark 2016, which was prepared by Experton for the first time this year. This places the company among the rising stars ofhousing and hosting services, a category that is, according to Experton, on the one hand surprising mature and on the other still dominated by new players.
The services of DARZ precisely fill the gap between data center infrastructure and the offer of modular IT services, making the company a true full IT service provider. According to a statement of Experton, many companies have aged data centers. Following virtualization at all levels and the subsequent reduced number of physical infrastructure components this situation has improved in recent times. However, nowadays data centers are again approaching the limits of their capacities (in terms of space, power supply, cooling, etc.) causing companies to consider retrofitting or construction of a new data center. However, in many instances, a housing or colocation approach is economically more viable and, more importantly, much faster to implement, which means that growth can be expected in this area.
Lars Göbel, Sales and IT Services Manager of DARZ GmbH said: “The classification as a rising star is evidence of our ongoing commitment as a full IT service provider to be excellently positioned in all areas that pave the way for digital transformation of new business sectors. Together with our partners we have created at our high security data center exactly the environment that enables innovations with the support of infrastructure, technology, and expertise in the first place.”
When looking at the market for hosting services for medium-sized businesses (500 to 5000 employees), it becomes evident that the attractiveness of the portfolios of all providers is fairly comparable. However, the differences are more notable when it comes to competitive strength, in which, in addition to market visibility, also marketing activities, references, use cases and partnerships play a central role.
“It is interesting to note that, in addition to the established providers such as Deutsche Telekom or Cancom, some relatively new providers such as DARZ are venturing into a market that is not apparently prone to growth and operate successfully,” said Wolfgang Schwab, Lead Advisor Platforms & Infrastructure and Digital Workspace & Mobile Enterprise at Experton.
